So peaceful in the morning and so much wildlife around.
A small, uncrowded lake great for fishing and short tubing trips, or floating. A boat ramp is available for use for a small small fee. Rentals are available at the marina along with live and artificial bait, fuel, restrooms, boat and motor repair, and snacks/drinks. Pull off parking is available for bank fishing. There is typically a food truck there that serves everything from fish and shrimp to burgers and hot dogs for reasonable prices.

Thus is a great place to go kayak fishing. The guys in the marina are always friendly and helpful with their tips on how the fish are biting. Just check their Facebook page and avoid days when they got tournaments or the lake gets very crowded.

This place is all about nice people. The water cop on duty warned us that's it's illegal to not have PFDs in the canoe (we had flotation cushions) unlike Indiana DNR who once wrote my wife a $125 ticket for sunning in a kayak at the put-in on Blue River and not wearing a PFD while waiting for me to run shuttle. The marina loaned us some PFDs. Thanks! They have rental canoes, fishing boats, and pontoons. $5 launch fee.
